ON SHORE BOARDS
I have a great admiration for the sport of downhill skateboarding, and I was known for my fearless approach to racing and dedication to pushing the boundaries of the sport. During the early years of racing (2000-2004), I was known for racing on a unique surf simulator board with inline front wheels, which challenged the conventional downhill skateboard’s that were used by all of the members of the Coast Longboarding Community. Despite the challenges posed by this unconventional design, I proved that it actually could perform in racers.
I dedicated four years to racing and helping develop the On Shore Board before eventually switching to a standard downhill skateboard setup. Despite this switch, my nickname "OSB Dan" stuck for many years, and I continued to race in both Coast Longboarding events and other BC racing events until 2010. Eventually, I retired from downhill skateboard racing, but not without leaving behind a fearless determination and a commitment to pushing the limits of the sport.
